Why Bubbles? Why This Mission?
Even one bubble of joy can lift a heart—and spark hope.
When people hear that I’m a Bubbleusionist who cares deeply about ending hunger, they sometimes tilt their head a little and ask, “Bubbles… and feeding kids? How do those go together?”
Honestly, I love that question—because the answer is at the heart of everything I do.
It Started with Joy and Wonder
Some of my earliest memories involve standing in the yard as a kid, dipping a plastic wand into a bottle of bubble soap, and watching those rainbow spheres float into the sky. It didn’t matter how tough the day was—bubbles made everything feel light again. They felt magical, hopeful, full of possibility.
Years later, as an adult, I still found myself blowing bubbles—but this time, with my own kids. Their eyes lit up the same way mine once did, and something in me knew: this simple joy wasn’t just for children. It was a bridge between hearts. Bubbles connect people—kids, parents, teachers, neighbors, strangers. They make us pause, smile, and share a moment of wonder together.
And sometimes, that moment is all a person needs to remember that goodness still exists.
Breaking a World Record… and Realizing It Wasn’t the Point
A few years later, I set a Guinness World Record for the largest free-floating soap bubble. It was exciting, unforgettable, and honestly, something I’m still proud of. Creating that gigantic bubble—fragile, beautiful, stretching longer than seems possible—felt symbolic even then.
But here’s the truth: as thrilling as that moment was, I eventually realized the record wasn’t the destination. It was preparation.
The skill, the attention it brought, the platform—it was all leading me toward a purpose much bigger than bubbles themselves.
Because not long after, my family went through a season when food was scarce. And suddenly, “hunger” wasn’t a statistic or a charity cause—it was personal.
The Moment the Mission Became Clear
When you’ve experienced hunger—not just “I skipped lunch” hunger, but “I don’t know how to feed my kids” hunger—it changes you. You see people differently. You notice quiet needs. You recognize the kind of hurt nobody talks about.
And I knew that if I ever got back on my feet, I wouldn’t forget the families still silently struggling.
Then one day, while performing for a crowd, I watched how bubbles opened hearts—how they softened people, lifted spirits, united total strangers. And I thought:
What if this joy could spark generosity?
What if one bubble could feed one child?
That was the moment the Bubble Pledge was born.
So… Why Bubbles?
Because bubbles are joy.
Because bubbles are hope.
Because bubbles remind us that fragile things can be held up, strengthened, and made more beautiful when we do it together.
Bubbles may seem small—but small things, multiplied, change the world.
What This Means for You and Me
You don’t have to perform on a stage or set records to make a difference.
You can:
• Smile at someone who feels unseen
• Pack an extra lunch for a child who needs it
• Give $1, $5, or $10 toward feeding a student
• Teach your kids the joy of caring for “the one”
And if bubbles happen to make you smile along the way—well, that’s the point.
We rise by lifting others.
We feed the world by feeding one person at a time.
And hope? Like a bubble—can float farther than you think.
Every small act of kindness matters.
If this message touched your heart and you’d like to be part of something joyful that helps hungry families, I’d love to keep you in the loop.
I’m not building a list, and I won’t spam you — I’ll just send one message when the Bubble Pledge is officially live so you can join in if you’d like.
Together, we can bring hope to someone’s table — one bubble at a time.
