Hunger Is Fragile — Hope Is Lasting
Even the smallest act of care can change a child’s world.
Have you ever watched a bubble float through the air? It glimmers with color, dances for a moment… and then, in the tiniest instant, it bursts. One second it’s there, and the next, it’s gone.
Hunger is a lot like that.
For families facing food insecurity, stability can feel as fragile as a bubble. One missed paycheck… one unexpected bill… one life event that knocks everything off balance — and suddenly food runs short. The fridge empties. The cupboard is bare. Hope starts to slip.
I know, because I’ve been there.
Years ago, I found myself standing in line at a food bank with my four young children. I had a master’s degree. I had just come out of what should have been the most successful year of my career. Yet there I was, humbled, holding a box, praying it would be enough to feed my family.
That moment changed me. Hunger wasn’t just a statistic anymore. It had a face — mine. It had a family — mine. It became personal.
It wasn’t long after that experience that I understood what I believe God was teaching me: Hunger is fragile — but hope is lasting.
Hunger can enter a life quickly, but hope can enter just as fast… and hope is what keeps a person going. Sometimes, hope shows up through a kind word, a quiet prayer, a shared meal, or someone simply saying, “I see you. You matter. You’re not alone.”
And that’s why I create bubbles.
I know that may sound funny at first — bubbles and hunger don’t seem like they belong in the same sentence. But bubbles are the perfect symbol of what I believe:
They are simple.
They are joyful.
They capture attention and imagination.
And they remind us how quickly things can change.
If a bubble can go from floating to bursting in a heartbeat… a family can go from secure to struggling just as fast. And if a single bubble can bring a moment of joy… a single act of kindness can bring lasting hope.
That’s why my mission is to Help End Hunger With Bubbles And Fun — one person, one family, one act of hope at a time.
Not everyone can feed the whole world. But everyone can help feed one.
If you’ve ever felt like your contribution is too small to matter, I want to tell you something from the heart:
It only takes one.
One meal, one dollar, one prayer, one pledge, one moment of compassion… that may be the hope someone needs to keep going. Just like bubbles join together to form a chain, small acts of giving join together to create big change.
My goal isn’t to pressure anyone. I’m not collecting money. I’m not building a list or asking anyone to “sign up” for anything. I simply want to inspire generosity and give people a way to take meaningful action if their heart feels called to.
If you’re reading this, I’d love for you to join me. Not to do everything — but to do something. To make one small act of help for one person, and trust that it matters.
Because it does.
Hunger is fragile — hope is lasting.
And together, we can lift someone up today.
